Support
Stuck, confused, or found something broken? Email support@filmfeud.co and a human will read it. Include what you were doing and what the screen said. That's usually enough.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Nobody does, ever. One person creates a session, everyone else joins with the six-character code.
My group's code says the round already started.
Sessions lock when the host deals the deck, so joiners can't appear mid-round. Ask the host to end the round and deal a fresh code.
The code says the session expired.
Sessions expire within six hours and can't be reopened. Deal a fresh code. It takes a few seconds.
“No movies match those filters.”
The filters were too narrow for the services you picked. Raise the movie count, widen the year range, or lower the rating floor, then deal again.
Someone's phone is stuck “waiting.”
The round moves when every phone has finished its part. Check that everyone has swiped the whole deck; the waiting screen names who's still going. A phone that lost connection catches up by itself when it's back.
How does the Plex connection work?
Connecting Plex lets the host deal a deck from their own library instead of the streaming catalogs. Your Plex sign-in stays between your phone and Plex. See the privacy policy.
Can we redo the pick?
Yes. The host can Run it back from the pick screen: a fresh deck for the same room, nobody re-joins, and the abandoned pick comes off everyone's history.
The app itself
Film Feud requires iOS 17 or newer and works on iPhone. It's coming soon to the App Store.
